In a convenient Weyl frame the metric has an AdS factor and the dilaton has a non-trivial profile. This structure provides a notion of scale covariance that facilitates a holographic analysis and provides a window into the dynamics of the dual strongly coupled non-conformal gauge theory. We present different classes of supergravity solutions of this kind and discuss their dual field theory interpretation.
