Remarkably, the nearest neighbor interaction pattern as well as the diagonal Yukawa matrix is statistically favorable in $T^2/\\mathbf{Z}_2$ orbifold models. Also, in $T^2/\\mathbf{Z}_4$ orbifold models, selection rules are nontrivial and lead to textures, which cannot be derived from group-theoretical symmetries.","category":"research","comments":0,"disputed":false,"division":"physics","mentions":0,"discussed":0,"published":"2026-10-22","reactions":{}}
