We construct a 3-dimensional effective theory for the scalar field that accounts for the presence of an instanton. In the limit that the scalar selfcoupling $ λ$ is much larger than the square of the gauge coupling $g$ we obtain a correction of order $\\sqrtλ$ relative to the 1-loop result for the topological susceptibility.","category":"research","comments":0,"disputed":false,"division":"physics","mentions":0,"discussed":0,"published":"2026-10-22","reactions":{}}
