Assuming that $Λ$ is $τ$-tilting finite and that $I\\subseteq \\operatorname{rad}Λ$, we construct, for every $r$ less than or equal to the number of simple $Λ$-modules, an injective map from the $τ$-exceptional sequences of length $r$ over $Λ/I$ to those over $Λ$. The construction is recursive and is based on lifting indecomposable $τ$-rigid modules and comparing their associated $τ$-perpendicular categories.
