Bayesian change-plane regression
Change-plane regression represents treatment effect heterogeneity through an interpretable rule that assigns patients to two groups according to whether a linear score of baseline covariates crosses a threshold. Although easy to communicate, likelihood-based inference for the hard threshold is nonregular, invalidating standard large-sample approximations.
