8-type electric flux tube solutions in SU(3) gauge theory
We consider electric flux tube solutions in SU(3) gauge theory with scalar fields in the fundamental representation, for an electric field in the $λ_8$ direction (8-type). In temporal gauge, the 3-type electric field rotates within a single SU(2) subgroup at one frequency, whereas the 8-type electric field necessarily rotates within three SU(2) subgroups with at least two different frequencies.
